Pinterest Round-Up

This week there’s been some fantastic stuff around Pinterest that I just had to share with you.

1. How lovely does Marseille, France look?

2. Take glow paint and splatter it on the inside of mason jars and you get this awesomeness. Aptly titled, “Stars in Jars,” hello fun 4th of July decor.

3. Love all the colors. Especially the bright blue with the hot red sunglasses, who would have thought that was a nice combo?

4. Just fabulous. If only I could photograph as lovely as this.

5. Converse + dress = sold. Not to mention the gorgeous bouquet and stripes here.

6. I could easily spend all summer in this backyard… it just looks so welcoming.

PS. Happy last day of June… just too crazy!

An ode to Toms

As evidenced by posts here and here , I have a serious affinity for Toms. Its mission is incredible, its founder is a total babe and its shoes are adorable and comfy. What could make them better? Sunglasses! For every pair you buy, Toms donates a pair of eyeglasses to a kid in need. Not to mention–surprise, surprise–each and every pair is stylish and cute.

The only problem I’m having is which pair to buy first…prices range between $135-145

How I Met Your Style

Originally spotted from the lovely blog You Are My Fave, but so good that I had to share it here with you, I quickly have become enamored with this fabulous site called How I Met Your Style. The photographers all do an incredible job and their style is impeccable. It’s great to see a little bit of behind-the-scenes style, which is an unusual take that I like to see. It might also make you incredibly jealous, but hopefully inspired at the same time.

Some photos from one of these gorgeous photo sets are of Rachel Nguyen, from thatschic.net. Combining unique styles (like mint green nail polish, so cool) and awesome colors, all these photographs I find to be truly inspiring.

Aprons? or… dresses?

All four of these dresses aprons come from Anthropologie and I don’t think the patterns could be any cuter. I am a huge mess whenever cooking or baking so not only would they protect my clothing, but it’d be quite a cute addition. If I had one of these aprons I’d probably never want to take it off, meaning more cookies for all! Here’s the link to all of Anthro’s aprons, ranging from $25-40.

Take a load off

With my second half marathon behind me (I put up a few training essentials last month), I’d like to share some things that have made my weary bones oh so happy after a long race.

1. Peppermint Cooling Leg Gel, The Body Shop $14–this gel instantly soothes my sore feet and helps loosen up the muscles in my legs.

2. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, Drugstore.com $4.19–I’ve used this mask once a week for as long as I can remember. It’s the best for clearing up clogged pores and it’s so cheap!

3. After Sun Body Lotion, Ahava $28–if you’re delinquent about putting on sunscreen while you’re exercising outside (like me), a good after sun lotion is a must.

4. Coconut water with pineapple, Vita Coco $31 for a 12 pack of 17oz bottles–I crave this stuff after working out, it’s the most refreshing and re-hydrating drink out there.

5. OPI on Collins Ave, OPI Southbeach Collection $8.50–after cramming my feet into sweaty shoes for 2+ hours, there’s nothing better than a pedicure. This color is on my toes as we speak!

Thank you to lovely Jo from A Cup of Jo for introducing me to this fabulous website called Emerson Made. It’s a husband and wife who started the site and they have truly wonderful pieces. Their website design is absolutely fabulous as well and incredibly unique for a shopping website. I love the outfits they put together and it’s all things you can buy from their site.

Bake it Pretty

Ahh the joys of baking pretty, could I love this website more? Today I’d like to talk about this lovely site called Bake it Pretty. A friend of mine gave me some red polka dot baking cups last year for my birthday (she knows me oh so well) and ever since then I have loved this site. I’ve seen a couple other bloggers using their products or talking about them, but in case you haven’t read about it I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to it.

They have awesome stuff, with very practical items like certain frosting tools, etc. but also fun, fabulous products like the zebra striped baking cups pictured above. Even if you’re not that into baking, it’s still fun to look at the range of items they have on offer. I can’t wait to have an occasion to bake for so I can order some sweet supplies, perhaps I’ll need to have a cupcake party sooner than later.
