Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and found ways to stay cool on the East Coast through another heatwave. I was in DC visiting my best friend (and former guest blogger!), her lovely boyfriend and their pup. We hit up a food truck festival, stumbled upon the Marine Barracks parade and had tapas on Friday. We spent Saturday brunching, biking and wandering around one of the Smithsonian museums to keep cool.
And if all of that didn’t seal the deal on a solid weekend, there was minimal traffic on the ride home and I returned to the most wonderful care package from the most wonderful sister. Darwin got a new friend (Sonic the hedgehog … as if he’d ever be called anything else) and I got cookies, clothes and CDs.
Solid weekend, indeed.
